- A) RadioShack is currently targeting home security, sound, and video enthusiast as well as younger technology users; they are also targeting people with more active lifestyles that will be outside purchasing products that will allow them to “go play in [real] life”.
B) They are also targeting a younger audience by advertising the beats pill by using Robin Thicke’s song blurred lines as well as having young users using their products for interesting uses for example when they used Radio Shack’s helicopter to pass the salt in a commercial. These people need to show that they have the technology to make the younger generation and tech enthusiasts lives better with their products.
- Our brand is positioned to solve problems using technology. They want to focus on their “Do It Yourself” specialty, which is what they’re known for, teaching people how to make their own things. RadioShack is looking to add a station where customers can create custom gadgets while being assisted and guided by a RadioShack employee. For their market positioning as a store they would like to have everything be technologically interactive, giving the atmosphere more life than their competitors. They would still be selling speakers and other essentials but will input a new station while updating their store environment.
